Left, Right, Up and Down

Left,

You never know how complicated life is until you are left all alone,

Abandoned and rejected with frustration creeping into your life when everyone is gone,

Your sight blurred by the fog of loneliness,

Because all you have known is what you are left,

But look right,

Right,

You think you look right and so you are right,

Until one day you will realise that you are just right wrong,

Wrong about the thoughts you hold captive about yourself,

Kidnapping people's perception in the chambers of your heart,

Storing them under the right conditions in the store house of your mind,

You think your heart is right?

You might be wrong because the last time it got broken you might have missed a broken piece,

But look Up,

Up,

You look up to yourself and not to God,

All because you hold in your hand a million dollar bill,

But you have forgotten that everything that has a beginning has an end,

So chill,

When the whole world comes to an end, how are you going to end?

But look down,

Down,

You look down on yourself like the cedi compared to the dollar,

Forgetting who God made you to be,

Thinking the world is now upside down,

Because you mostly hit rock bottom,

But don't forget that the only way up is down,

You see sometimes you might get into life's ups and downs,

And when you look left and right there is no one,

But then look up to God and not down to yourself,

Then you will realise that God has always been at your left and right.

Peace!!

seasons greetings 🎅🎉💐

Recently I had the privilege of being made up with some expensive make up. When the MUA was done, I couldn't recognize myself in the mirror. I was a lighter version of myself from a few dabs of makeup. This recall brought to mind one word , image. I was told I couldn't recognize myself because I wasn't used to the makeup.

We are molded in the image of the Almighty, our spirit man should flow with Him in unity. We reflect His  glory and men see us and give Him glory. Do people see Jesus in you? Do you see Jesus in you?

Some people are heavy with anointing they are seemingly ashamed of because they will be teased. They ignore it and pretend not to know how to operate in it. People want to belong so much they forget they already belong. We are a royal priesthood, a holy nations, God's special people. We look different from the world because we don't wear makeup anymore Or are you so used to the makeup and trying to fit in that God no longer recognizes you? Do you find your image as Christ's, are you shining brighter and brighter unto the morn?
We forget a day is coming where we will no longer have makeup to hide our tears, wears and scars. When all is said and done and it is just you before the throne, will you stand, will your dedication, commitment and actions to the Lord melt in the flames or come out shiny?
Holidays are here and everyone is excited about the season and about Christ. We remember the babe born to us with a purpose and image he kept from day1

Jesus spent time in prayer and in the word..... as the year ends lets find our only image which is Christ in prayer and bible reading that we may walk blameless before the Father.
as the year ends ,Can You recognize yourself?
Did you start well and get lost?
Are you  feeling guilty and lost?
Come to Jesus  now.

Growing pains

Hebrews 4v 15
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathizes with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way , just as we are –yet was without sin
                                                                                                         NIV
You know how you mean to do so well in a test in school, but you don’t want to stud for it and when you write it you flunk in style? Well, I do. So I flunked a test I know I could have than better in and it hurt me to my soul. Then I asked myself this question, when I disobey GOD, or allow temptations to rule over me do I feel that kind of pain?  No, was my answer. Immediately I realized that I haven’t been so good to God or to myself.  A test I can make up for but the blood which cleanses me from within again and again and again ….. Never
In the book of Hebrews, I learnt that Jesus who is our High Priest has been tempted In every way as we have and yet was without sin. It makes Him look like a superman of some sort but it also lets me know I can achieve that course .Jesus sympathizes with our weaknesses he doesn’t approve of then neither does he condemn them. He understands how fragile we are and also has made a provision for us not only in his blood for forgiveness but to enable us avoid sin and all its consequences.
Hebrews 4 v 16
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and grace to help us in our time of need.
                                                                                                   NIV
Still struggling with sin?  Come to Jesus now.

Extra Oil

Heard the story of the wise and foolish virgins? In Summary, 10 girls were invited for a wedding feast, 5 were wise , 5 were foolish. Wise because they took extra oil for their lamps and the foolish one took no extra oil. The bridegroom delayed and the girls fell asleep.when he finally came, the oil in the lamps were finished . The foolish ones asked the wise ones for some of their oil but they didn't have enough to share. They then had to go into town to buy some oil....by the time they returned the wise girls were already in the feast and the doors were Shut.
If you were to choose which group of girls would you join?
The wise virgins are those who are ready . Girls guides have this motto:be prepared .
This means always ready for whatever challenge they had.
As Christians we should always be ready... We should do what we have been called to do and do it with 2 things in mind :
We will be judged according to how we responded to the calling on our life .
We won't be on this earth forever.
Prepare by prayer , reading and meditating on the word which are Spirit and life, by obeying the word which shows our love for our Lord.
Should Jesus come today will he find you in readiness?

Psalm 119

This is one of those chapters i read and i know i am lacking in my walk with God. + it is lenghty 😏 still worth the read
Here i realise the relevance of God's word to my christian walk.. Lets check out a few verses
1. Joyful are people of integrity
who follow the instruction of the Lord
Integrity is actually an instruction of God and it brings joy. Walk in integrity.
5. Oh , that my actions will consistently reflect your decrees.
We may know the word but do we live it?
6.Then I will not be ashamed when i compare my life with your commands.
😢 i am scared to pick my Bible and measure my life with it.. Will i stand?
10. I have tried to find you
Don't let me wander from your commands
My earnest prayer when i feel likd i should stop seeking God cos i go off.
11. I have hidden your word in my heart that i might not sin against you.
How can i hide His word in my heart
14. I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches
Mind blown!! I think of money  but do i think of God .
Where is my Joy?

May we truly find God this October

ComeUnion

When last were you at the Lord's table?
I have been a partaker of communion for a few years now but I have never had communion like last Sunday.
First off I didn't feel like church that morning .... But well mum and big brother kinda made me go.
Now its true that when u don't feel like church there's a great blessing waiting for you there.
I was actually hoping to miss it cos I wasn't sure I wanted it. I got there just as it was time to dine with the Lord.

I did have communion and this week has been an amazing one. Divine provision, protection and grace like never before.

Come-Union with God. It is not just a spiritual ritual but an act of surrender .come lets reason together for though your robe be as scarlet i will make them white as snow.   God longs to make us pure and whole.we partake in something  rich, deep and sweet.we enjoy the benefits of the Blood of Jesus. Forgiveness of sins, renewal of spirit and fellowship... Direct fellowship with God.

He takes away us( weaknesses) and gives us Him (strength, wisdom, love).
So my friend Come Union with God.
If you are going through anything you can't handle (life In itself is a lot to handle)  come to God...
Let the body of Christ broken for you and the blood shed for you  speak for you.

Luke 22v20
......This cup is the new covenant between God and his people -an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you.

Ready ?

At 18 I cried I was dying to not be 18 . what was I going to do with my life? I mean school and all but how meaningful will my life be to anyone. I had to decide to make choices ..right ones of course. But boy I wasn't ready and 5 years down the lane I realize I'm still not ready.
Now u may think I don't have purpose or vision  but I am amongst the present day youth  who are not sure where to start from.  Today I was listening to Bishop Dag and I realised it is a good thing to not be ready.

Ready says I can , I will by all means

Not ready says .. I must learn ..I must be patient and grow into it.

So see the beautiful vision you have .. Are you really ready?

Sometimes we want to take on the world because we know technology makes things easier but it is better to get experience from those who know.

Like Peter we like to believe we are ready to go all out till the cock crows on us.
Then we have to deal with the unexpected... It is more wisdom to prepare and avoidmistakes others have made than fall in the same ditch.
  So ask yourself
Am I ready for life?
Am I ready for love?
Am I ready for people ?

Pray about all the things you want to be ready for. After all it is The Holy Spirit that can lead us in all truth and remind us of all we have learnt  , He is our comforter and guide

You can never be totally ready but your prayer,  learning and patience with yourself to grow will take u through.
He who thinks he is standing should be careful lest he fall.

Can you relate ?

i can relate
when that sin stares you the face
and you need to decide your fate
minutes of unbridled passion or heaven forever
i can relate
when nothing seems to work out
and you've lost the last bout
keep surviving or throw in the towel
i can relate
when no one can understand
why you frown and don't want to turn it upside down
You aren't pissed at the world
you just don't understand yourself
i can relate
when stay all day in your room
share your bed with gloom
counting down the days to when you can self-inflate
be that person you have always known you are
i can relate
when you stay on your knees
palms joined yet no words to pray
Trusting somehow He will satisfy every need
i can relate cos i have been there before
had no one to call

Bad Girl?

I have been called a good girl most of my life. An angel, a Saint ,... list goes on
Today I was called a bad girl. I just smiled . What followed was that   I looked like I can dance I laughed.
So it brings my mind to the fact that I may have developed   some new skills and that I hadn't read my BIBLE yet , but does that make me bad?
Why do we classify ourselves as good or bad? Jesus did say that no one is truly good except God.
And we are encouraged  to work out our salvation  with fear and trembling.

I don't believe   I am good but I believe I am saved and I must work my way. We like sheep fell astray and the lamb died   in our place . There is none righteous no not one but we must all endeavor  to  strive for the cause that JESUS DID DIE  for us.

Let’s   not think so highly of ourselves   or of what other people  say of us. Focus on whether God is pleased with you and whether  you know who you are in Christ and if you live accordingly .

Love the Lord your God   WITH ALL YOUR HEART, MIND AND STRENGTH .

With love from GLC

Our Fathers

The man who bring you to life is your father. The one who pays for food and clothes and gives you a place   to lay your head. These are the father's we often see and we are to honour   them . Eph 6:1-3

Spiritual fathers . .. they are the men with an anointing we  would like to inherit . These are the men to whom the Holy  Spirit   will lead you to tap into uncommon  grace and favor.
They may be near us or far but God will create a spiritual  link which we didn't have with them initially and lead us to follow in their steps and their teachings .
Elijah was Elisha ' s father.

Then we have our heavenly  father. Matthew  6:9( Our Father who art in heaven) We cannot see or  touch Him physically.
The father we share with Jesus who makes us royalty . God the Father is the Father  of Fathers . Rom 8:15 (.... and by Him we cry Abba Father)  John 8:41 (......the only father we have is God Himself)
He is the Father from which all things derive their life. He is the creator of all that is and is to come. Deuteronomy  32:6 (....Is he not your Father your  Creator . ...)
He is the Lord of Hosts ,Alpha and Omega ,the only wise God. In need of nothing and does all in order to glorify  Himself in our  life . This is   God The Father . .. the one whom we must be in awe off .  Jesus cried out Father into thy hand I commit my spirit   , meaning   even in our deepest darkest moments   ,He is there.

You may have an earthly father, a spiritual  father  but do not  forget   your heavenly father. God is your father

Resurrection

I Have been in a dark place
I have fought the dark shadows
I have been held captive by the horror within
My soul has been broken into uncountable pieces
my nerves seared by hot coal
I  am alive and living
Yet dead and rotting
My face is blank and you can't read me
My aim exactly
So when you see me
You keep wondering
How i got here is my secret
I have looked for salvation
I have craved understanding
i have sought to be justified
But i realize that's life
Not everyone is a friend
Not everyone cares
doesn't mean they hate you
They have better things to do
So i find in my dark place how i can be rescued
A show of love deep in my tissue
from a gentle one who doesn't care my issues
A kind of man who truly loves you
A kind of man who is true
And that's what i saw when i found you

Hide-and-seek

I am sure we all played hide-and-seek  as children . I could coil myself   into the smallest   corner and yet still my brother   almost   always   knew where to find  me.
The truth   was he was older than me and he knew me so finding   me wasn't   such a herculean  task.

In our lives there are times  we play hide-and-seek   and it's really no fun.
We are modern-day  Jonahs   running   from God believing   we can hide from Him.
The psalmist   said , there's   no place I can hide from you, even if I go to the deepest   waters  you are there.
Where could   we possibly   hide from the Maker of it all .
We are   hiding   from God by rejecting   the Salvation  He provides   in Christ  Jesus .
We are hiding   from him when we refuse to confess our sins and walk in Holiness .

God   is seeking   us ,so he sends his word to us in preaching , music ,kindness to name a few.

A time is coming   when God will not be found
(seek him while he maybe found)

Eternal life is here and now

Last night I was blessed to be ministered by Rev Dr. Ampiah Kwofie Of Global Revival Outreach ministries.
He mentioned   something   I didn't  fully understand   until this morning .
"Eternal  life God gives is here and now.  "
😮😮😮😮😮
What?? Here on earth we have eternal  life ? ?
I was also puzzled , the eternal   life I had always   known   was life in heaven   or hell,The afterlife .

Your choice

But today I find in John 17:3
"Now this is eternal  life: that they know you, the one true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

Eternal  life begins here on earth when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior .  It is Knowing   God in all His dimensions   and Jesus Christ   whom He sent .

With this new knowledge  I understand   other verses like
He who has the Son has life
Not a life after  death alone but an internal dwelling   and victorious   life  even while here on earth .
We should   make daily   efforts   to know the Father and the Son in this knowledge   we have eternal  life .
This is truly   the victory   that has overcome  the world  even our faith
We can live victorious   everyday because   we have a life with God and His son.

Focus.

I seek you with all my heart;do not let me stray from your commands  -Psalm 119:10

I love this story - you may have read it before, but it so beautifully  illustrates  the need to keep our eyes   on Jesus.

Walking through  freshly  fallen snow , a father wanted to teach his son a key lesson in life. He said,"Son, I'm going to walk to that tree about 50 feet ahead in a perfectly  straight   line. Then I want you to do same."

The father walked   to the tree. He turned to look at his son and they both observed  the  perfectly  straight  tracks  in the snow. Not wanting  to fail the test, the son looked at his father and began  to walk. He looked down at his steps and veered to the left. He looked up and corrected   his course .He looked down again ,. He veered to the right and had to correct   his course once more. Arriving at the tree, his tracks told the story of his failure.
His father explained , "Son as long as you focused  on me your tracks were straight . The moment   you took your eyes off  me,you got  off track. The key is keeping   your eyes  on the goal . "
So it is  in life . There is one primary goal  and if it becomes the heart and focus of your life it will be the key to eternal  success .  That goal is following   the Lord. If we are to have a strong walk with Christ  Jesus ,  we have to look to Him as the pioneer  and perfecter  of our faith. When  we are lured in by the weight and Sin of the world which clings so closely ,  we take our eyes off of Him.
But when we keep our eyes on Him , He will keep us right on track to where we need to go.

Street Corners

The street corner can be an utterly   lonely   place . In the street corners   of your life you are irrelevant   and  many people pass you by.
If The king  threw a party you wouldn't  expect   to be there ,I mean why would  mere men be invited   at the king's  table?
The parable   Jesus   told in Luke 22 of the great king who throws this amazing   party for his son.
He sends out invite to the elite of the kingdom but everyone   of them have an excuse   and other businesses   to attend to.
Then he asks his servant to go out to the street corners   and invite anyone they find .  What an honor !
Now the party has started   and the king begins to walk amongst the guests finds  a man who is not properly   dressed .  He asks the guards   to throw him out . Why? The man was invited and  showed up you would think the kings would be more merciful . ..
Many times we forget we are called to dine with the king. Our behavior   and appearance   must align with the environment   we find ourselves  . We don't go for a party in rags... neither do we go without a present   for our   host.
In the Christian   walk we must remember  that we are always at a dinner party   of the king's   son. We are to behave and look as such in order to honor   the son.
We must   be clothed   in His righteousness  which he already  bought   for us by His blood. We must honour   Him and the sacrifice   he made by walking   in the way . We walk in the way by abiding   in the Lord .
We must reflect the Christ who dwells within not believe   he is in us and have nothing   to show for .
We must be   clean inside out.
At judgement   when He comes make sure you aren't  dressed in rags or out young I'll go where there will be gnashing   of teeth.

L💞ve is

Love is how I feel when I wake up in the morning
Thoughts   of you flood my mind
Like a broken dam
I would give anything   to make you happy

Love is how I speak with you
Carefully  choosing   my words
I wouldn't  want to wound your soul
Regrettably  your words   pierce mine

Love is my helping hand stretched  out
But you stay in the ditch  out of your stubbornness
I want to save you
But you   just turn away

Love is watching  you shout and scream
Blaming me for a blunder
To which I concur
I only want to make peace

Love is me putting   you first
Making sure your heart is content
Enabling   you   to keep your smile
And not expecting   you to repay me

 Love is praying  for  you
To receive  strength  in your weakest hours
Being the shoulder  you cry on
Being a shield from pain

Love is  walking in the Spirit
Honoring   the Lord
Helping  a neighbor
Love is of God

Desire and affection .

What do you cherish   most? What can't   you do without?
If you were given   your heart desire what would you do with it?
What exactly   does your heart desire?
Where   your heart is ,is where your treasure  is.  We have so many things we are drawn to by simple desire or innate neccessity . Things of this world are beautiful to the eys and pleasant to posses . Remember the world and all it's  glory is fading. There are things , trends that came so many years  ago and they keep returning in a different light with little tweaks here and there. Leotards are now represented as legging , the all natural hair of the   is creeping back with people   rejecting permed hair. There is nothing   really new under this sun. What has been will be. That sounds pretty boring right? I know  let's make   conscious   efforts   to keep your   eyes on Jesus and His promises . His ways are not ours neither are his thoughts   our thoughts .  Behold He does a new thing.
We many at times put our hearts   on things that we can easily   quantify . Expecting to receive  in return   all we give In equal amounts
Set your affections on things above  means holding   nothing dear to your heart   while on earth .  It means remembering each day that whatever you have is  gift of God and keep your eyes on the giver not the gift.
Nothing   in this world will bring the satisfaction   you are looking   for.
David prayed satisfy my soul with you every morning .
Everyday   make a choice   to be satisfied   with the word of God and  His presence
Trust in God and hope only in him.

I tried to find peace
In the world   of broken   pieces
I opened   my heart to give
Expecting   to receive
But lo was I reminded
That gifts   are only of God
All I gave out was by God
So I set my affections on him
And He alone fulfills me

Having the right attitude .

Ingratitude   is the most difficult   thing to  forgive.
You are Killing   yourself but those you sacrifice   for do not recognize your efforts . You wish you could just stop being good to them, you are a Christian   whose life should be based on the words of Jesus . The greatest   commandment is to the the Lord  your God with all your heart, mind and LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS  YOURSELF .
the first   part is easier   to deal with cos we all agree God   is perfect and always   knows what HE is doing.
How about that sister or brother  who calls you up only when they need something ,  or they abuse your kindness but are never go out of their way to help you. To them they come first . To keep   constantly   obeying  these words are not easy,
1. Not everyone   will see your effort but that's   fine as long   your motives are pure (give without expecting from  man  ) and you do it in obedience   God its OK  👍
2. in all that you do, do as unto God. Jesus said ..whatever   you do to the least of these you do to me. Make honorable   decisions   and sacrifices   you know God will be glorified by.
3. Don't know count of what you do for people . Do what you can   and will for them but do not do it in order to recount   in some time to come
4. Lower your expectations   . Do not expect people   to repay you. Close your mind to earthly  returns from people   keep your mind on what God can  give and do for you. Remember   the blessing   of obedience . Don't complain  about  how people  treat you when they have more than  you but  differently   when they have less .

The King's Scale

Proverbs 11:1King James Version (KJV)
11 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.

Proverbs has always been a tricky chapter to read. There is so much wisdom to be acquired but it requires a deeper understanding to unravel the goodness of each verse. With that being said, I hope the Spirit helps me bring out the true meaning of this text.
One of the symbols in law is the measuring scale. It represents justice and impartiality. This verse adapts this metaphor to convey a very important message; the importance of truth and not being misleading in our words and actions.
Soak in this imagery. You walk into a shop where everything measure purchased is weighed to quantify the value. The attendant welcomes you with a lovingly warm smile as you approach with your items for weighing. After she’s done, she quotes a figure that has you shocked because you have never paid this much, but she says new prices have been listed. After thinking about it, it doesn’t tally and after she lifts the produce of the scale you notice it has been set back to give you a false figure. Chances are that you would be highly annoyed and feel like you have been cheated, right? You can, then, imagine how the store owner or manager would feel if he finds out. He’d probably fire her. That’s the same disdain God has for falsehood.
Sometimes we are tempted to give a false impression of a situation we might be in to gain some leverage. Like a boy telling a girl how he has a mansion when indeed he still lives in a compound house or creating a Facebook profile with serious deviations from how you look like and who you are. Falsehood doesn’t only mean lying, it also means being partial and biased in judgement. As Christians, it is our responsibility to call something for what it truly is, even if it’s to our disadvantage.
Sometimes we do not realize how dangerous falsehood is.

  1. .       It creates expectations or impressions for things that do not exist.
  2. 2.       It clouds our other positive qualities we have been blessed with; since it breaks the trust of the people we lie to.
  3. 3.       It can cloud of even sway other people’s judgement concerning a particular issue. Imagine a court sentence depended on your truth as a key juror and you said otherwise which altered the judgement of your peers and the judge, leading to someone’s wrongful incarceration.
  4. 4.       It blocks opportunities to inspire and contribute positively to the person’s life to God’s glory.
  5. 5.       Since we are children of God, it could give a false representation of His children to principled nonbeliever or even somebody who is new to the walk in faith.  They could fail to see the difference between a reformed Christian and someone who is in the world.
  6. 6.       Although we are all human and we are prone to sin, falsehood arises from the need to cover up imperfections. Sometimes we as Christians kind of create the illusion of perfection when in actual fact, even the Bible shows us how we fall short of righteousness. Yes it is good to call out evil when we see it, but partiality sets in when we stop seeing the person as a human liable to flaw and as the sin he/she may have committed instead of helping him/her find their way because Lord knows we are not perfect ourselves.
  7. 7.       We risk God’s displeasure. God will not be pleased with our partiality. It’s even an abomination and every abomination has serious implications.

Every time you might be tempted to bend the truth or your judgment for your own good, please be reminded of what you stand to lose, since these things listed are only a few consequences of partiality and you do not want to find out the hard way.
It is our prayer that God grants us discernment to choose our words carefully and truthfully. We pray for mercy for all the times we may have not told the truth and strength to stand by what is true a just for His glory, in Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The Word of God

2 Timothy 3:15-17New International Version (NIV)
15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

This verse celebrates the multiple functionality of God’s word. We often underestimate how powerful God’s word is and how practical it is. This normally leads to a spiritual and physical divide when indeed the word is to inspire a better life that should manifest outwardly for people to see and be inspired. Our deeds can show how deeply we are influenced by His word. I bet you had a fair idea but this verse will open your eyes even wider to how and why this is possible. Let’s dig in.

Word from Heaven

The word of God is designed for the purpose of Salvation. The scripture says that everything in the Bible is God-breathed. Meaning the word is inspired from Heaven. Hence each word is designed and chosen carefully to draw us closer to Jehovah through spiritual intimacy. So a daily or a regular devotion to God’s word is paramount to understanding, knowing, pleasing and having a strong relationship with God. His word is key to having faith. His word is full of hope and promises of a better life through Christ both here and in heaven.  In order to believe, we need to build our faith so we can boldly claim what is promised to us by virtue of being His children.

Its Purposes

This verse reveals the multiple purposes of God’s word. The word ‘uses’ in this text implies that salvation isn’t the only thing God’s word is there for. There is teaching (or counsel) where the Bible advises us on how best we approach daily situations to God’s glory. The Bible is full of wise words and examples of people who turned to God in the midst of trouble times, or who worshiped in thanksgiving and provides us with the ultimate example of a life that should be emulated if we want to be Shepherds of his flock, the life of Jesus Christ.

There is rebuking, where the Bible shows us what to say and do in the midst of temptation, adversity and spiritual attack from the enemy.
Then there is correcting, showing us the right and the wrong way to live for Christ as well as ways in which we can make the most of our daily lives in an acceptable manner.

And then training, showing the various prayer methods, prayers, regimens that people in the Bible adopted and times where these thing were relevant so we know what to pray for, how to pray, when to pray and how to pray for others in such a manner that falls in line with God’s ultimate purpose. Apart from prayer, it also educates us on the way to carry ourselves to show others our spiritual allegiance to Christ, hence inspiring others to be changed by Him.

The common denominator is the fact that all these facets of God’s word have to be done in righteousness, meaning all these things have to be done using the Bible as a frame of reference.

Lastly, the verse concludes by giving a condition that all these things that the Bible teaches us are to equip us to be efficiently equipped to do good works to His glory. Think of everything you do on this earth as an avenue to bring somebody closer to God. Your position, situation, troubled times, joyful moments, blessing, network of people and life as a whole is God’s assignment to bring a better life to someone. But you won’t be able to make the most of it if you are not guided by the spirit. This is why God through Christ sent the Holy Spirit to show us the way. Constant reference to the word will keep the spirit ignited so we can be influenced by its power to change someone’s life.

Our prayer is that the word guides us to be an example of righteousness to someone through deeds and actions. May we be inspired to depend on his word when in doubt. May we apply His word to any aspect of our life so indeed; the outside world sees His heavenly influence in our lives.
In Jesus name we pray.

God's Secret Places

The House of God
The Lord wants us to find refuge and
protection in His house. There is an instinctive drive
in people that causes them to seek God during times
of trouble. Somehow, I believe, they know that there
is a place of safety in the Lord, and there is.
Psalm 27:5 says, "For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place
of His tabernacle He shall hide me." The house of
God is much more than the building where a church
meets. It is the family of God, those who believe in
Him. There is safety in the fellowship that exists and
in the power of unity among believers.

  The Presence of God
Psalm 31:19-20 says, "Oh, how great is Your
goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear
You, which You have prepared for those who trust in
You in the presence of the sons of men! You shall
hide them in the secret place of Your presence from
the plots of man..."
Would the devil want to be in God's presence?
Of course not! He hates God, and when we are in
God's presence, we are safe. I encourage you to live
in God's presence not only in your prayer closet, but
everywhere you go, praying silently, worshiping in
your heart and acknowledging the presence of the Lord within you by the Spirit all day long and even
through the night.

Prayer and Worship
Psalm 32:6-7 tells us, "For this cause
everyone who is godly shall pray to You in a time
when You may be found; surely in a flood of great
waters they shall not come near him. You are my
hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.
Selah"
Just as the devil hates God's presence, he also
hates prayer and worship. The spiritual power in
prayer and worship will cause him to flee as you
draw near to God. We must pray and worship often
and rest in the security that exists therein.
The house of God, the presence of God, and
prayer and worship—these are some of the Lord's
"secret places" of refuge. They are places we need to
stay in order for our prayers to be most effective.
They are strong towers that resist the enemy.

a heart's song

I raised my hands
I said yes
Take it all Lord
I want it no more
I said I was over
I was done  with the world
But I still lived in the world
I knew I was not off this world
I was a slave no more
I was free
 To do as I pleased
To be all he had made me
But it didn't feel so
I was highly conscious
I was too afraid   to make a mistake
Was this freedom   or another   kind of bondage
I wasn't   sure how to start
Whether to lose who I was entirely
Whether   to completely ignore my bosom friends
Just in case they led me astray
I had taken a step
But I wasn't   sure how to walk
The path was so uncertain   and the curiosity   within I couldn't   contain
So I picked a preacher, made him my god
This man must surely be perfect
Oh so I thought
I followed closely,
Imagined all he does to keep  saintly
I started   on a path not   mine
I tried to be him
Forgetting   who was the way
I left the truth   behind
I walked in wrong light
This light grew brighter
And my burden heavier
I can't do this
"Christian  " may just not be for me
So I walked away from  it all
I felt   free and weirdly restored
The old path is broader, easier and Comfy
This is who I was born to be or at least that's   how I felt
Years roll by
And I am dry cleaning
then I dusted up the word and read
The one which said
To each a different   gift but by the same spirit
Curious   to know what mine was
I started   with  Him
This time Him alone
No crowd no role model
Just me and Him
Taking little   steps but getting there daily
I felt   like I was behind
But this time   it felt too real and it was mine
He showed me exactly  who he made me to be
why it didn't   work   the first time
And this time I knew I had Truly found Jesus.
