L💞ve is

Love is how I feel when I wake up in the morning
Thoughts   of you flood my mind
Like a broken dam
I would give anything   to make you happy

Love is how I speak with you
Carefully  choosing   my words
I wouldn't  want to wound your soul
Regrettably  your words   pierce mine

Love is my helping hand stretched  out
But you stay in the ditch  out of your stubbornness
I want to save you
But you   just turn away

Love is watching  you shout and scream
Blaming me for a blunder
To which I concur
I only want to make peace

Love is me putting   you first
Making sure your heart is content
Enabling   you   to keep your smile
And not expecting   you to repay me

 Love is praying  for  you
To receive  strength  in your weakest hours
Being the shoulder  you cry on
Being a shield from pain

Love is  walking in the Spirit
Honoring   the Lord
Helping  a neighbor
Love is of God

Desire and affection .

What do you cherish   most? What can't   you do without?
If you were given   your heart desire what would you do with it?
What exactly   does your heart desire?
Where   your heart is ,is where your treasure  is.  We have so many things we are drawn to by simple desire or innate neccessity . Things of this world are beautiful to the eys and pleasant to posses . Remember the world and all it's  glory is fading. There are things , trends that came so many years  ago and they keep returning in a different light with little tweaks here and there. Leotards are now represented as legging , the all natural hair of the   is creeping back with people   rejecting permed hair. There is nothing   really new under this sun. What has been will be. That sounds pretty boring right? I know  let's make   conscious   efforts   to keep your   eyes on Jesus and His promises . His ways are not ours neither are his thoughts   our thoughts .  Behold He does a new thing.
We many at times put our hearts   on things that we can easily   quantify . Expecting to receive  in return   all we give In equal amounts
Set your affections on things above  means holding   nothing dear to your heart   while on earth .  It means remembering each day that whatever you have is  gift of God and keep your eyes on the giver not the gift.
Nothing   in this world will bring the satisfaction   you are looking   for.
David prayed satisfy my soul with you every morning .
Everyday   make a choice   to be satisfied   with the word of God and  His presence
Trust in God and hope only in him.

I tried to find peace
In the world   of broken   pieces
I opened   my heart to give
Expecting   to receive
But lo was I reminded
That gifts   are only of God
All I gave out was by God
So I set my affections on him
And He alone fulfills me

Having the right attitude .

Ingratitude   is the most difficult   thing to  forgive.
You are Killing   yourself but those you sacrifice   for do not recognize your efforts . You wish you could just stop being good to them, you are a Christian   whose life should be based on the words of Jesus . The greatest   commandment is to the the Lord  your God with all your heart, mind and LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS  YOURSELF .
the first   part is easier   to deal with cos we all agree God   is perfect and always   knows what HE is doing.
How about that sister or brother  who calls you up only when they need something ,  or they abuse your kindness but are never go out of their way to help you. To them they come first . To keep   constantly   obeying  these words are not easy,
1. Not everyone   will see your effort but that's   fine as long   your motives are pure (give without expecting from  man  ) and you do it in obedience   God its OK  👍
2. in all that you do, do as unto God. Jesus said ..whatever   you do to the least of these you do to me. Make honorable   decisions   and sacrifices   you know God will be glorified by.
3. Don't know count of what you do for people . Do what you can   and will for them but do not do it in order to recount   in some time to come
4. Lower your expectations   . Do not expect people   to repay you. Close your mind to earthly  returns from people   keep your mind on what God can  give and do for you. Remember   the blessing   of obedience . Don't complain  about  how people  treat you when they have more than  you but  differently   when they have less .

The King's Scale

Proverbs 11:1King James Version (KJV)
11 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.

Proverbs has always been a tricky chapter to read. There is so much wisdom to be acquired but it requires a deeper understanding to unravel the goodness of each verse. With that being said, I hope the Spirit helps me bring out the true meaning of this text.
One of the symbols in law is the measuring scale. It represents justice and impartiality. This verse adapts this metaphor to convey a very important message; the importance of truth and not being misleading in our words and actions.
Soak in this imagery. You walk into a shop where everything measure purchased is weighed to quantify the value. The attendant welcomes you with a lovingly warm smile as you approach with your items for weighing. After she’s done, she quotes a figure that has you shocked because you have never paid this much, but she says new prices have been listed. After thinking about it, it doesn’t tally and after she lifts the produce of the scale you notice it has been set back to give you a false figure. Chances are that you would be highly annoyed and feel like you have been cheated, right? You can, then, imagine how the store owner or manager would feel if he finds out. He’d probably fire her. That’s the same disdain God has for falsehood.
Sometimes we are tempted to give a false impression of a situation we might be in to gain some leverage. Like a boy telling a girl how he has a mansion when indeed he still lives in a compound house or creating a Facebook profile with serious deviations from how you look like and who you are. Falsehood doesn’t only mean lying, it also means being partial and biased in judgement. As Christians, it is our responsibility to call something for what it truly is, even if it’s to our disadvantage.
Sometimes we do not realize how dangerous falsehood is.

  1. .       It creates expectations or impressions for things that do not exist.
  2. 2.       It clouds our other positive qualities we have been blessed with; since it breaks the trust of the people we lie to.
  3. 3.       It can cloud of even sway other people’s judgement concerning a particular issue. Imagine a court sentence depended on your truth as a key juror and you said otherwise which altered the judgement of your peers and the judge, leading to someone’s wrongful incarceration.
  4. 4.       It blocks opportunities to inspire and contribute positively to the person’s life to God’s glory.
  5. 5.       Since we are children of God, it could give a false representation of His children to principled nonbeliever or even somebody who is new to the walk in faith.  They could fail to see the difference between a reformed Christian and someone who is in the world.
  6. 6.       Although we are all human and we are prone to sin, falsehood arises from the need to cover up imperfections. Sometimes we as Christians kind of create the illusion of perfection when in actual fact, even the Bible shows us how we fall short of righteousness. Yes it is good to call out evil when we see it, but partiality sets in when we stop seeing the person as a human liable to flaw and as the sin he/she may have committed instead of helping him/her find their way because Lord knows we are not perfect ourselves.
  7. 7.       We risk God’s displeasure. God will not be pleased with our partiality. It’s even an abomination and every abomination has serious implications.

Every time you might be tempted to bend the truth or your judgment for your own good, please be reminded of what you stand to lose, since these things listed are only a few consequences of partiality and you do not want to find out the hard way.
It is our prayer that God grants us discernment to choose our words carefully and truthfully. We pray for mercy for all the times we may have not told the truth and strength to stand by what is true a just for His glory, in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
