GODFIDENCE

So exactly a week today I got a really good testimony on why you should pay tithe. I paid tithe and got the money in abundance that very same day. That is still relevant but I have been thinking on my confidence in God's abilities.

God can really do anything with anyone in any situation. But do you believe he can. Are we ready to let go and let Him be God.

As a child, I remember writing an exam in Junior High . A friend who claimed to have seen my grade called out something I didn't want to imagine for myself and I immediately rejected it trusting God. (Yea I was a bit of a fanatic which is great for faith living).  in my second year of senior secondary school, I decided to trust God with everything there were too many issues at home and I literally couldn't depend on anyone. So it was just my bible and me. I saw exam results I had never ever seen in my entire secondary school life. In University my second year, I opted for a position of leadership which seemed to be taking all my time and I took out time to pray everyday, made Sundays a Sabbath where I didn't study till about 6pm everyday. For a pharmacy student, that is Super scary.  That semester I saw results I had never seen in my entire university stay.

So I am reflecting on the goodness of God and I realize that God has been good to me . I however seemed to lose the right balance in life after God showed me so much grace. I either begin to study hard because I felt if I did it before maybe I can do it again. I NEVER DID IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. I stopped acknowledging God and tried to put my best efforts together.

Apart from Him we can do nothing isn't just a word of revelation of how much we need God but also of how much He wants to bless us. The blessing is in Him. If we are under the direction and obedience of God, then our way will be clear and we will prosper.
BUT OUR MINDS, our minds pull us from a place of spiritual perfection and try to use logic or experience and we wonder why Naaman wouldn't go into the Jordan River and bathe seven times.

We do the very same thing. We think that perhaps God will do some great and mighty gimmicks to direct us. Not to say He doesn't sometimes but God can also be a still  small voice. It may seem like a useless act of obedience or unjustified offering of act of giving. Remember His ways are not our ways neither are His thoughts our thoughts .

We need to have the mind of Christ, He went out each morning to spend time with God and through that fellowship, Miracles were wrought by Him. Maybe its time to give up 5 minute prayer times for something higher, รค deeper realm of faith and trust. God wants to bless you. We need to however get the memo, take our eyes from ourselves and keep them on the Cross.
In the Cross is your Glory.

I was listening to the CEO of KHARIS mag and he said something striking, We need to live in the spiritual realms and leave the physical, when the battles are won in the spiritual the physical will have no choice but to manifest it.

Pray to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit not your emotions.
God is faithful are you?

Bearing your cross

Luke 14:27
And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple

An image of Jesus on the way to Calvary comes to mind, Jesus is carrying a heavy log. His cross. He is surrounded by a throng of people yet so alone.
Our Christian walk is like that.we all have crosses to carry. In the midst of people of which I am sure many were good.No one dared to offer help, because a cross is a personal task. It  is a personal road of submission to God's will. Each person should walk on their own road.

"Cry for yourselves " Jesus said " and for your children"  He knew because after He had died and resurrected. It was now going to be everyone's burden to carry their own cross. Perhaps he knew how we would struggle with it.
IT IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY TO BEAR THEIR CROSS.

Bearing your cross is only possible when we TOTALLY SURRENDER to Jesus Christ.
In order to do what Christ has already done and  getting victory , we have to become like Him.
To do that which we see our Father do.
This takes more than a simple prayer because the flesh and the spirit are always warring and until the flesh dies ( which will take little steps of obedience), The struggle firepower will continue.

It takes your desire to please God and Honor Him.
It takes saying "No" to yourself when what you desire is a norm or even looks fun.
It takes judging things from God's view (only possible through constant dwelling in the word of God).
It takes consecration
It will take little steps of obedience

What it won't take is time, everyday we have opportunity to carry our cross and that's all the time we need. Work while it is called today.

Bearing your cross you may have a few people to offer guidance and direction. After a while however it is all you. You and God. You will have to make God- choices not good choices.

In 2017 may we remember to daily bear our cross and dwell in the father.

A Little too late

I went out with friends about two weeks back. We had a good time. I ordered safe food, food I know my body doesn’t react to. A friend of mine orders something a bit out of my safe food range but since we wrer all feeling free and sharing, I took some of hers and she some of mine.

The very next day I saw a spot on my skin I ignored. In three days my body was covered in spots. My body was allergic to whatever was on my friend’s plate I dared to try.
I learned some lessons from this,
1.       Keep to your own and be content. What someone else has in life may look more sophisticated, more mature, more organized or to some extent everything you have ever wondered. Maybe I should have been more content and minded my own business. In this case my own plate. No matter how unattractive or plain your life may seem it is only for your own good or sometimes just a stepping stone to a more glorious end. The laws of God are not too tedious for us to follow  but we like to try too many things as though God doesn’t know what he is doing. Truth is He knows everything and sometimes He watches us wander only to bring you to a place when re you can totally depend on Him alone. His Ways are higher ,His thoughts are wiser. Simply obey even if it doesn’t seem nice or fun, it is for your own good.

2.       Destroy the little foxes . When I realized the first sign of reaction I should have  taken steps to eliminate it. That would have prevented the wide spread rash I am currently having . There are times we do “little” things that the Holy Spirit prompts us about. They could be things we said in moments of haste or thoughts we had which mostly seem unimportant but upon reflection we are pointed in the right direction. If we can destroy bad habits as soon as they start we are sure to have a more fulfilled walk with God.
I think prayer will help and constantly reading the word so we Remember God’s stance on every situation on life. We may be faced with the same situation moremtuan once in our lifetime and we will need to constantly make the right decisions. That’s how we grow.

Jeremiah 32:39
I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear for their own good and the good of their children.

lesser things

Luke 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth

So I saw something which belonged to someone and I almost let myself believe God hasn’t been so good to me. I think it’s a daily struggle in our mind to covet our neighbor. We think having those things would make us feel better, more fulfilled or important. However little or much you may posses there are two sure words for you.

1.       God has a plan to give you better. He wants to bring you to a place of goodness and hope.

2.       No eye has seen , no ear has heard ,no one can know what God has in store for those that love him.

We never can tell where we are going because with the Holy Spirit we are like winds ,people will see us and recognize us but won’t know where we come from or where we are going (John 3). God’s vision for life would probably shake you if he gave you full details. God is good and he wants us o prosper in our body, soul and spirit.

Having earthly things is great but what you posses must not define you. The vision God is working out for you should be what you answer to.

Your life should be made off loving God +serving Him + trusting daily.

When you decide to pray, do not pray for just physical things, pray for deeper things like favor, grace and mercy. And yes  God’s glory will surround you. For the Presence of God is an atmosphere hat can draw anything you could ever want. The anointing and recognizing the anointing will allow you to understand that there are so many things God can do with what you have right where you are.

Women of faith have a song “boundless love” a line in it struck me this morning…. “where all of you is all of me”

This is what we should be seeking, to carry the very nature of God, to be saturated  with Him.

Luke 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth

Do you believe He exists?

Hebrews 11:6
.........because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists.......
In this present age, science seems to have an explanation for everything and the things yet to be explained are currently under investigation.

We can never explain what made Abraham leave his father's house , a place of comfort to pursue a certain promise which a certain voice had told him off.
Why would Noah build an ark on certain instructions which were enough to ensure every creature on the planet had a place in it.

They believed in the existence of a higher power, something greater than themselves ,greater than the worlds and everything they had seen or experienced.

They believed He Existed

Faith produced a holy fear in Noah when his world was full of men following their own desires. HE OBEYED, following everything he had been told in His Spirit even when he was made a laughing stock. He became an heir of righteousness by his faith. Abraham left the gods he knew and ventured into lands promised to his descendants even though he had no child. He saw stars and sandal and a destiny while still childless. He had faith that the one who promised was able. He may not have understood how it was gong to happen but he let God be God.
Through his faith his son Isaac also obtained the promises of God to Abraham. Faith can produce transferable blessings to generations unborn.
Isaac saw his father's faith when he was almost sacrificed and God provided. He then also transferred his faith to his sons .

Your choice to believe in God is more than one you make for yourself because your faith will affect generations after you.
