Love Debt 💞💞💞💞

"Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy." - Romans

"Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." - Romans 13:10

"Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law." - Romans 13:8

February   is tagged season of love   and valentine   posters   and   deals   are the all over the place.
How do we perceive  LOVE.
 
I see the faces around me
The wear a smile
But their eyes are sad
They have  been misunderstood
They have been   misinterpreted
Their cry for love
Led them to this place
Their desire  was to be   loved
Their intention   was to help a friend ,  a mother and a child or simply   themselves
But their activities   well we aren't   so sure
They took steps in the wrong direction
I suppose
They did things in their own  understanding
The society..... you and I
We didn't understand   them
We kept them under lock and key
And we labeled   them dangerous
We submitted   them to conditions
That will give them time to think
Time to believe   what we all believe
I don't defend  those you may be condemning
just like you they need to be loved
 We are in His image ...
In his likeness
Yet  we are individuals   on different   journeys
I believe   God created us all unique
We all need love and understanding
And when led by His word we can pay the love debt we owe to one another

Sarah dies at age 127 and Abraham needs a plot of land for her burial.  He is a foreigner in the land. Yet all the people give him the liberty to choose whichever land he wants at no cost. That's FAVOUR!

God blesses his people with favour; uncommon Favour.  You get help when you do not even need it. You get so many things free of charge. Things that others tire for, he gives you on a silver platter. He clears your path. He paves the way for you. He fills every valley on your path and levels every mountain.  He simply keeps you smiling! Even in the midst of the storm, you smile! His only requirement is that you walk aright with him.  Walk aright with God and trust him with your life; then he will provide for you, even while you are asleep.  (Psalm 127:2, GNB)

May God's favour locate you in this month of February, as you walk aright with Him.

I was out on the streets..And the nights were cold...
Till I was found by a loving man one day.
Taking me off the streets, he replaced my torn, raggy clothing with a white robe after he had washed me clean. And the warmth of His embrace shielded off the cold. He seemed to know me and was overjoyed he had found me. It was a great feast the day He brought me home.
Day after day, I grew, loving him and knowing him more..
Never had I seen such riches and my feeble mind could not comprehend such wealth. There was joy in abundance, love was the language he spoke. He gave me much and adorned me with what I knew I didn't deserve. Yet, it was his delight doing so. He taught me to speak his language and I cherished dearly the time we would spend in conversation.
But I ran...
Yes, I ran.
Far away from his house..
And nothing could explain the pain in my heart afterwards.
Yes, I did love His company.
And I did love it in his house but after I thought I had gained much, I ran back to the streets..
Immature, I was, and this cost me much.
Yet I ran, back to where I was before He came along. Cuz I had foolishly thought i was missing out on some adventure there. Instead, it was the cold rain that welcomed me...This time, worse than before.
Then,
I saw a figure amidst the showers
A man's form in the rain
When the lightening introduced the thunder, I saw clearly. That it was him.
He came through the rain
To rescue me again..
For he knew that I would soon feel the pain of running from his sheltering arms.
With shame, I ran towards him and fell at his feet.
But then he touched my shoulder
And raised me to my feet.
Then as I gazed at his face,
Such radiance I had never seen before surrounded him.
And peace seemed to flood my soul.
His love reached out to me,
Yes, I felt His warm embrace
And something deep within me told me that that was my place.
Then I knew-
He is Emmanuel,
The LORD who is with me.

I SAW THE KING

I remember how the day came. He was born that amidst the creatures. It comes as no surprise that he wasn’t ordinary after all.

I saw the man looking weary and worried, his wife primigravida. My land lord had said no not because he had no heart but no room so he gave them his barn free of charge to pass the night .I must say never had I seen him so moved. I can’t recall their names but on the donkey they came and the Mrs. looked really hungry. I served them a plate; few left over from my supper. I hoped it would last at least for tonight.

They seemed to have left in a hurry because of the counting. Yes, our President had ordered that we be counted I guess he was bothered some people weren't paying their taxes or these greedy tax collectors were stealing from him. Who am I to say what they do... Chasing people for expedient taxes of which I see no use .they probably used it to pay the ladies in the brothels they visited.

…… back to my story …. This woman heavy and seemingly in labor was really calm unlike my kid sister when she was in labor screaming her lungs out. That day she gave us hell… I thought she would die and leave to me the burden of rearing her baby  now my most adorable niece.(not that I don’t like babies but I wasn’t ready )

So Mary I believe is her name.. Sitting so composed and with a peaceable expression I was envious, I don’t know how her husband did it but he got his wife bad. I guess she was a strong a woman to handle all the contractions going on in her uterus at the moment. I kept watching her while she ate she was Heavy… how did she even survive the journey on an ass. That ass must have a story to tell.

A faint squint of her eyes gave her out, the contractions were coming faster, I guessed 8 seconds apart. I ran up to call my mother; she knows this kind of thing.  She bolted into the stables how glad she was that another child was going to be born, my mother is such a baby freak no wonder she is a midwife. I well I walked behind her carrying blankets I was excited too but blood freaks me out.

When I walked in there was amniotic fluid splashed all over. My mum had pushed joseph out of the room and had called another of her friends. It felt like one of those scenes of grey’s anatomy where Addison is in full swing with Yang helping out.  The baby came out quickly and Mary was so relieved.

That night, I saw the king.

WHAT JESUS PROMISES

i had an amazing time at midweek service this week.  I was privileged to listen to Rev. Jeff Korum. i went late but i managed to grasp something small.  

he gave this title "WHAT JESUS PROMISES" 

 his test from mark's account of when Jesus calmed the storm. 

 WHAT JESUS PROMISES, HE WILL PERFORM; KNOWINGLY, PURPOSEFULLY AND AUTHORITATIVELY.

JESUS TOLD THE DISCIPLES "LET US GO TO THE OTHER SIDE."

 when they entered the boat , He went to sleep. This wasn't because  He didn't care it was because He knew exactly what He was doing. He knew no matter what they would get to the other side.

 Most of us are aware of the promises of God (not the method). He has given us big dreams and vision and we are waiting for it to manifest. 

Then the waters began to shake and  a storm began to rage. They just like all of us, began to murmur  and complain  . They lost faith and forgot whom they had .

At times when we are stretched a bit we tend to go into full force saying things we shouldn't . We ask questions we shouldn't  and regrettably we doubt our Jesus.

 WHEN IN DOUBT, TAKE A BOW.  At the feet of the master you will find peace if not understanding for your situation. 

and when the woke Jesus up, He came and spoke and the storm was calmed. Jesus surprised them with the kind of authority He demonstrated. Even the winds and the waves obeyed Him. WHAT MANNER OF MAN ?

 Jesus steps into a situation and God is glorified. the kind of things God can do is simply outstanding. 

DON'T LOSE CONFIDENCE IN JESUS

YOUR HIGHEST PURPOSE IS TO FOLLOW JESUS

 he said  IN THIS WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE BUT TAKE HEART I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.  

we had victory before the battle .
