Stuck?

Puppies, cute adorable yet so stubborn. They chew on anything , the like to jump around and then bark a lot.😏 well , we got a new puppy quite recently and she is quite a hand full. Cleaning after her every morning is not my favorite chore but no pain no gain though I am not quite sure what I will be gaining.

In trying to train her so she doesn’t poop all over the house, my brother tried a new approach, he chained her to a small tree in the garden just a few minutes. A few minutes not because he wanted to like run trials or anything, we usually leave her in the porch you see , but to get her to know and do the right thing , change was necessary.she was there for a few minutes till I came out and saw her struggling to free herself. I quickly asked my brother to free her and put her somewhere more comfortable .

 

That’s how my insight came.  I like very comfortable situations and solutions . I runaway from stress and pressure. I hate to feel stuck, powerless and small. In our weakness His strength and  is perfected. We may be stuck somewhere just so we learn a lesson which will be useful somewhere. We may be stuck so we develop a trait that will help us go to places beyond our imaginations.

Do you feel stuck? Well sit there and enjoy the process, develop yourself mentally, emotionally and spiritually, build capacity for the journey is far.

A porter   when molding the clay took it through many phases and shapes. It probably looked out of shape a lot of times and it hated its own form and situation.it begged to be free yet it humbly obliged to every breaking will of the porter.

Many people like comfort especially me. When the word suits as we take it when it doesn’t we shun it. Funny thing is the truth will never change, was listening toTED talks and the speaker was like when we learn to be comfortable with our discomfort then we can progress.

Comfortable Christianity is really easy to fall in but it doesn’t mean be a judgmental Christian. I have learnt to deal with others in grace and in doing so I find I watch my actions more carefully praying I do not fall into temptation.

When a situation is uncomfortable, check if the discomfort is temporal. It could be a stepping stone to a greater end. Above all pray for grace to continue in the walk.

Do not be obstinate like the mule allow God to mold you

the love we forget

  To love is an art, gently take in all the irritating things with a smile . We like the love that cuddles and caresses our emotions, we like the love that makes us feel like we can be anything.the love with no itchy irritation. That the love we love.

 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that who so ever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The love that comes with a form of pain, sacrifice.

The love that gives and gives and gives till all is poured out to bless another.

Love your neighbor as yourself, do good to those who despise you, bless those who curse you

The love God showed to us that he sent Jesus that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

You do not do good to those who can and will only do you good, as Jesus said even the pagans do that. To love as our Lord and Savior did is to allow people to spit on you, ridicule you and mock you and still die to save them. This is not to say allow disrespect or do not be honest when something happens which you do not like. Correct in love and try to live in peace with all people and if it comes to worst, love them from a distance and do not shut them. Know that you are uniquely made by and for God .

I always wondered how Jesus had that strength then inrealised he prayed every morning. He spent time with the Father to be like the Father. Prayer and daily Bible study will open our hearts to to the will of the Father.

We must learn to be comfortable in our discomfort, love from God’s perspective not our own. We must allow The Holy Spirit to guide our hearts for as innocent as we may seem , the heart of a man can be deceitful as the bible states hence we must guard our hearts.

Love even when it hurts and know God is loving how you love and will ease your pain.

Arise and Shine 🌌🌌🌌🌌

If you are a member of the Church of Pentecost then you hear the youth slogan arise and shine.

If you a youth member you may have said this yourself several times. The church devotional has it imprinted on it along the youth logo.

Arise and shine!

I have never given it much thought until now.

Arise and Shine.

Arise is a deliberate action to get up. No one do it for you. You need to do it yourself.

Only light can shine.

 

Philippians 2v15 AMP

That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless,unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation(spiritually perverted and perverse), among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining clearly) in the (dark) world.  

The first time I heard this verse was at a Wednesday service in my junior high, and back then I liked what the preacher said. I can’t remember the detail but then it was about Standing out. This  verse always brought him to mind.

 

As young people we need to make deliberate efforts to Arise.

No matter where you are or what you do, you can be better , you can go higher, you can pray more, you can study the Bible more , give more, commit more, sing more, praise more, worship more, love more, obey more….

There are still heights untapped , and you can make it your desire to achieve that.

Do not despise where you are because it is from clay God made man, and today we walk the earth.

Seek to Arise, and as you arise you will shine.

The shining is ä a result of your conviction to arise .

Arise may mean making tough decisions or changes that may let others call you names or tease you but hold on.

When you begin to shine everyone who mocked at you will all say how they once knew you and how they were at some point in your life.

You want to shine then Arise.

Make the necessary decisions and changes and be a light to the world.

New Year Formulas

I remember studying Pythagoras theorem as a student . a simple formula which worked only for right-angled triangles. It wouldn't work for any other and I always wondered why. I believed mathematics is relative and no matter the formula once you get the right answer it's cool.
Sorry, but it doesn't work that way...I learned that the hardway, several try and errors.
             Life is like a mathematical equation. 
 An excuse is given only when we fail to obey.we justify why we failed to do that which was expected.
My theme from church for this year is.....listening and obeying the word of God.
I had a good first service and I will share what I learnt ...
Did you know that you can live right under the presence of God and still not hear or receive from him?
The Boy Samuel slept right where the ark of the Lord was and until God called him which he misinterpreted it till Eli the priest showed him the directions to  communicate with God.
Many are under powerful anointing and cannot tap it as they do not know how. May God grant us insight to receive. Amen.
Obedience is acting on instructions given by a superior.

One thing to always remember is obedience makes life easy! 

A formula can never be wrong. It is tested and proved and always gives the expected result.
Obeying God , his word and his revelations is a formula. It places us in a position of protection, favour and grace and life will get easy.
Don't do anything God hasn't approved ..  Don't try to help God with you wisdom, strength or intellect. Just  Obey.
All we can do is to Trust and Obey . 

Left, Right, Up and Down

Left,

You never know how complicated life is until you are left all alone,

Abandoned and rejected with frustration creeping into your life when everyone is gone,

Your sight blurred by the fog of loneliness,

Because all you have known is what you are left,

But look right,





Right,

You think you look right and so you are right,

Until one day you will realise that you are just right wrong,

Wrong about the thoughts you hold captive about yourself,

Kidnapping people's perception in the chambers of your heart,

Storing them under the right conditions in the store house of your mind,

You think your heart is right?

You might be wrong because the last time it got broken you might have missed a broken piece,

But look Up,





Up,

You look up to yourself and not to God,

All because you hold in your hand a million dollar bill,

But you have forgotten that everything that has a beginning has an end,

So chill,

When the whole world comes to an end, how are you going to end?

But look down,





Down,

You look down on yourself like the cedi compared to the dollar,

Forgetting who God made you to be,

Thinking the world is now upside down,

Because you mostly hit rock bottom,

But don't forget that the only way up is down,





You see sometimes you might get into life's ups and downs,

And when you look left and right there is no one,

But then look up to God and not down to yourself,

Then you will realise that God has always been at your left and right.
