Clarity

Happy new month folks .
I have always wondered why growing up had so many restrictions. I honestly felt tied up because Christianity was like a chore. I have read that God's word is not burdensome as we presume it is. Today I heard a word from Rev Andy Yawson about becoming a spiritual giant. A bit too much? Well he didn't get to the giant part in my podcast but I heard about 2 people who aren't giants.
  1. The natural man
  2. The Carnal man

To be honest, the carnal man is the biggest deception I have believed.
The carnal man  is a man who believes in God. A man who has confessed Christ as Lord but has over the period done nothing to   Grow . They are comfortable christians. They may have gifts of the spirit maybe some fruits of the spirit but they lack a sense of spirituality. Not saying fanatics (people who are justified by a right and wrong law) but people who actively use the word of God in its right context in every situation.

I know it sounds tricky . I am not sure myself but if we were to pray for discernment and rightly divide the word of God not just quote scripture .  Constantly studying scripture , praying and learning to walk with God.

P.s I found a new bible app too. She reads truth . Join me too.

Grey Spaces

I am writing this with Priscilla Shirer in the background talking about how faith must go with actions.
Funny
This post is about how looking away from God has made me doubt.
I have doubted that there is a calling on my life. Until I understood a calling does not always  mean a pulpit. A calling can be giving, praying for people in your room or just doing well where you are planted. We are called for the glory of the Father. Not to be famous, receive applause or to be desired. We are called to exalt the one who made us and to whom we belong. Your calling could be an anointing for just 2 people. That you would influence those 2 people towards right and light. Lead them to Jesus Christ. That is as  important as leading a congregation. Our sheep our like talent. We must be able to develop them through our ministry till the grow and they in turn develop others( classic war room ).

I tried to think like others and I find that I fail again and again. I read on a friend's blog about the last 5 or so years of his life and how he no longer goes to Church because of "Christian standards" . The status quo of a Christian if I may call it that. A Christian is a spiritual being who cannot be flawed.
This is actually true. We cannot be flawed because we are the righteousness of Christ.  When we begin to totally depend on grace to live holy not trying in our futility or with our wisdom. It takes a lot of practice. I don't know if I heard this in a preaching or from C.S Lewis book, Mere Christianity : we confuse morality with holiness. And to every man even those who say they are free men they seem to still have an ideology ōf what any right minded person should practice. This is highly challenged in our present world. In this generation everyone is right.😏
Life is beans.
What was wrong yesterday is right today, what is right today could be wrong tomorrow an unending cycle. An Elder in my Church ,eld Tsivor has convinced me to believe that right or wrong is determined by your conscience. The Bible does say something similar, a man is only judged by his conscience. Then another part says some people's consciences are seared.
FACT: AS A CHRISTIAN YOUR CONSCIENCE IS THE HOLYSPIRIT BECAUSE HE CONVICTS THE OWRLD OF SIN, RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUDGEMENT(JOHN 16:8-10).

FROM A DICTIONARY A CONSCIENCE IS SOMETHING TELLING YOU WHETHER YOU ARE RIGHT OR WRONG.

WE ALL HAVE A CONSCIENCE, WHAT GUIDES YOURS?
My friend's story made me feel he felt pushed to live to a standard from his immediate society . This is draining. I have  been there. Living up to man's standard doesn't mean living up to God's levels.

Like The master gave each servant Talents, God has given us each a level of faith to operate in. It takes grace and the Holy Spirit to operate where to were planted and even to move above it.  Pray for others as God leads you. Do not condemn them but walk in love( something I am beginning to understand from a youversion plan).
Do not let people's standards to define you? FIND YOUR SELF IN GOD.  it may take time , you might be confused a lot( like I am) but do not let go of your bible and of prayer.

Your light is coming.

Open arms closed hearts

This looks funny . How will you turn Jesus down. I mean He is God's son. Last Friday a friend offered me some money as a birthday gift. I smiled and giggled but i didn't take the money. On my way from work this same person offered to buy me something which costs one-tenth of the actual amount he was giving me. I accepted readily.

Fancy that! If i had taken the money i could have bought 10 of what he got for me.

I want to talk about open arms and closed minds.
God gives us anything as long as we ask and it is in His will.
His words to us are Yes and Amen. God is the God of the impossible.

But are we ready to receive?. God wants to bless us and he will go through any length and breadth to do it.
For people like me who believe all things have to be earned will not be able to totally enjoy the favor and grace of God as well as its immense riches.
We need to begin to be sensitive to the provision of God. His provision is always in agreement with His word.
He is the good shepherd who lay down His life for us.
And if he gave up His only Son for us how won't he give us anything we ask . He gives freely and generously.

It is us who look up with arms to receive but hearts closed to his provision.
Was Jesus to ask you to open the mouth of a fish and you found just enough to pay off all your debts. How would you accept it.
We have acknowledged mysterious things to the devil for too long. God is more powerful and mysterious than any spirit anywhere.
The name Jesus alone brings everything to its knees.

As the disciples said Help my unbelief. We need Help .
We need to believe in God more strongly and in His Power to perform the impossible.

Open up your mind to receive from Him. A doubleminded man cannot receive from God. Our hands should point to heaven and our minds should accept the greatness of the God we have chosen to Serve.

Don't settle for Less because you belong to a BIG GOD.
Have a blessed week.

Friends

I appreciate all my readers thus far.

I want us to trade a little more as brothers and sisters in Christ.

I finally got round to signing up for Youversion bible app. I think you could too.
Let's trade memory verses and create images for them.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

GOD HAS THE MEMO

A memo is a document that is circulated within a particular organization only. sometimes only top level officials share a memo. The memo ensures everyone is on the same page about decisions to be taken.

Walking with God is a bit like that.
No eye has seen , no ear has heard no has it entered into the mind of any man what God has in store for they that love Him and are called according to his purpose. The spirit searches all things even the deepest things of God. There is a memo for your life and you need to read it.

God deals with each one of us differently and yet the same. we are all promised of a hope and a future.God is working all things together for our good. However no one knows in entirety what God wants to do with another person. That can only be found when you get Gods memo. He is taking every bit of our history and present to create His best future for us. He ordained us for things even while we were still in our mother's womb.
just as a potter makes different vessels, each one of us must find our purpose in Him.
GOD HAS THE MEMO FOR YOUR LIFE.

In him all things hold together (col 1:17),the life of victory in Christ is available to you if you will get the memo too .

Getting the memo means a few things
1. Believe in GOD . Believe He is greater than anything or anyone anywhere. Make Him your Lord and keep your eyes on Him no matter how the waves rage around you.

2. Seek God everyday. we are living out what has already been written in the spirit realm. to properly live out God's best we need to seek Him. Ask Him to lead us into each day. that each day will be the fulfillment of prophecy for us.

God knows exactly where you should be in life. He has all the answers.

Now you need to get the memo too.
Life is better when you have the same Memo as God so you can take the same decisions and go where he is leading.

GODFIDENCE

So exactly a week today I got a really good testimony on why you should pay tithe. I paid tithe and got the money in abundance that very same day. That is still relevant but I have been thinking on my confidence in God's abilities.

God can really do anything with anyone in any situation. But do you believe he can. Are we ready to let go and let Him be God.

As a child, I remember writing an exam in Junior High . A friend who claimed to have seen my grade called out something I didn't want to imagine for myself and I immediately rejected it trusting God. (Yea I was a bit of a fanatic which is great for faith living).  in my second year of senior secondary school, I decided to trust God with everything there were too many issues at home and I literally couldn't depend on anyone. So it was just my bible and me. I saw exam results I had never ever seen in my entire secondary school life. In University my second year, I opted for a position of leadership which seemed to be taking all my time and I took out time to pray everyday, made Sundays a Sabbath where I didn't study till about 6pm everyday. For a pharmacy student, that is Super scary.  That semester I saw results I had never seen in my entire university stay.

So I am reflecting on the goodness of God and I realize that God has been good to me . I however seemed to lose the right balance in life after God showed me so much grace. I either begin to study hard because I felt if I did it before maybe I can do it again. I NEVER DID IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. I stopped acknowledging God and tried to put my best efforts together.

Apart from Him we can do nothing isn't just a word of revelation of how much we need God but also of how much He wants to bless us. The blessing is in Him. If we are under the direction and obedience of God, then our way will be clear and we will prosper.
BUT OUR MINDS, our minds pull us from a place of spiritual perfection and try to use logic or experience and we wonder why Naaman wouldn't go into the Jordan River and bathe seven times.

We do the very same thing. We think that perhaps God will do some great and mighty gimmicks to direct us. Not to say He doesn't sometimes but God can also be a still  small voice. It may seem like a useless act of obedience or unjustified offering of act of giving. Remember His ways are not our ways neither are His thoughts our thoughts .

We need to have the mind of Christ, He went out each morning to spend time with God and through that fellowship, Miracles were wrought by Him. Maybe its time to give up 5 minute prayer times for something higher, ä deeper realm of faith and trust. God wants to bless you. We need to however get the memo, take our eyes from ourselves and keep them on the Cross.
In the Cross is your Glory.

I was listening to the CEO of KHARIS mag and he said something striking, We need to live in the spiritual realms and leave the physical, when the battles are won in the spiritual the physical will have no choice but to manifest it.

Pray to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit not your emotions.
God is faithful are you?

Bearing your cross

Luke 14:27
And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple

An image of Jesus on the way to Calvary comes to mind, Jesus is carrying a heavy log. His cross. He is surrounded by a throng of people yet so alone.
Our Christian walk is like that.we all have crosses to carry. In the midst of people of which I am sure many were good.No one dared to offer help, because a cross is a personal task. It  is a personal road of submission to God's will. Each person should walk on their own road.

"Cry for yourselves " Jesus said " and for your children"  He knew because after He had died and resurrected. It was now going to be everyone's burden to carry their own cross. Perhaps he knew how we would struggle with it.
IT IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY TO BEAR THEIR CROSS.

Bearing your cross is only possible when we TOTALLY SURRENDER to Jesus Christ.
In order to do what Christ has already done and  getting victory , we have to become like Him.
To do that which we see our Father do.
This takes more than a simple prayer because the flesh and the spirit are always warring and until the flesh dies ( which will take little steps of obedience), The struggle firepower will continue.

It takes your desire to please God and Honor Him.
It takes saying "No" to yourself when what you desire is a norm or even looks fun.
It takes judging things from God's view (only possible through constant dwelling in the word of God).
It takes consecration
It will take little steps of obedience

What it won't take is time, everyday we have opportunity to carry our cross and that's all the time we need. Work while it is called today.

Bearing your cross you may have a few people to offer guidance and direction. After a while however it is all you. You and God. You will have to make God- choices not good choices.

In 2017 may we remember to daily bear our cross and dwell in the father.
